Information about the Awareness Department

.

The Awareness Department is the student equivalent of the FIN Equal Opportunities Officer.

If you have any problems, you can always come to us and we will find a solution together. That includes discrimination, sexual harassment, disadvantage, advice or support for your studies or by the authorities and similar things. Our support is frequently used by international or queer and trans* students. For example, we campaigned for the first unisex toilets in the FIN building, which were quickly introduced on floor 3 with the help of the dean.

The Awareness Department is currently led by Bolli and Falke.

You can reach us at any time at fin-awareness-l@ovgu.de or anonymously via contact form.

If you want to get an idea of the people at the Awareness Department, you can also meet us at events. We plan to be represented more often at events e.g. we were at Campus Pride. To stay up to date on where we can be seen, please subscribe to the interest list (newsletter) or check out the he #fara-news channel on the FIN Emporium Server on Discord. Since the server now has a considerable number of members, there is also the opportunity to make good connections with your fellow students despite Corona and to exchange views on subjects or general topics that you need help with or as well as simply for socializing.

You are welcome to contact us if you are a student from another faculty. Furthermore, there is AG Antidiskriminierung from the medical faculty (you can find more information in the following lines), as well as plenty of other contact points that you can contact.

Do you have ideas on how we could make our faculty and university more inclusive? Or would you like to join us? Then feel free to write to us!

Best wishes from your

Awareness Team

AG Antidiskriminierung

The AG Antidiskriminierung (AG anti discrimination) of the medical faculty is a point of contact for students studying human medicine and immunology. The aim is to be the contact person for the students and to provide support if necessary.
In addition, the topic should be sensitized at the faculty and, in the long term, non-discriminatory and equal medical studies should be made possible for everyone.

The AG can be reached by email antidiskriminierung@fara-med.de.
