A warm welcome to the Faculty of Computer Science!

In order to make your start at FIN easier, the student council organises an introductory week for all new students every year, together with many volunteers and with the support of the Faculty of Computer Science. Between many fun and interesting events, we provide you with all the important information about studying and the city of Magdeburg that you will need when you start your studies.

In addition to activities organized by your student council (FaRaFIN), the International Office together with IKUS (Intercultural Students) also hosts exciting events and information sessions.

All events without the addition ‘Bachelor’ or ‘Master’ in the title are open to both Bachelor’s and Master’s students – regardless of whether you are just starting your studies at OvGU or continuing them here.

Discover the University Library as a place to work and study.
They provide tips for registration and present the available services. The tours take place from Tuesday to Friday:

9:30-10:00 AM: German-language tours
10:00-10:30 AM: English-language tours

12:00 - 13:00	Lecture Hall FIN G29-307	Hello, Students! Your student council of the Faculty of Computer Science and the Dean’s Office warmly welcomes you (Including important information & instructions for Bachelor and Master students). Afterwards, you will meet your new mentors.
13:00 - 14:00	Mensa UniCampus Magdeburg	Bits & Bites During the first campus tour, your student ID cards will be validated. Afterward, all new bachelor's and master's students will head to the Mensa together with their mentors.
14:00 - 17:00	meeting point in front of FIN/G29	Campus Rally Together with your mentors, explore the campus with exciting games and tricky puzzles. Get to know students clubs too.
Tuesday, 07.10.
